The Many-spotted Cat Snake (Boiga multomaculata) is a slim, agile climber peppered with dark blotches, ranging through bamboo and rocky hillsides of northern and central Thailand. A lively gecko hunter that settles well in captivity, it is only mildly rear-fanged and harmless to people. A handsome, manageable display species for intermediate keepers.

In the Wild

Habitat
Arboreal to semi-arboreal. Mixed deciduous and bamboo forest, scrubland and rocky hillsides. 100 – 1,200 m. Northern, central and northeastern Thailand.
Wild Diet
Geckos, lizards & frogs. Slender-bodied and highly agile in vegetation.

Pre-killed geckos or small lizards; can transition to scent-marked pinkies. Every 7 days.

24 – 28 °C ambient — 22 °C cool end
Humidity
60 – 75 %. Misting 3× per week.

Enclosure
Arboreal / vertical. Min 60 × 45 × 60 cm. Bamboo perches and cork hides.
Temperament
Lively and alert. Settles well. Good display species for intermediate keepers.
